Stats are cold. We know that Derek Boogaard was 6'7", wieghed 258 lbs, scored just three times in 277 NHL games and accumulated 589 minutes in penalties. We also know that he was often injured, the last one being a concussion.
He was also a son, a young man who was very charitable and someone who will be missed for the kind of a person he was. No child shoulld die before their parents die.
Right now the cause of death is unknown and will be decided by an autopsy. Whatever the reason it is a tragedy. Our deepest condolences to the Boogaard family and may the good Lord bless and console them in their hour of grief.
May God have mercy and love for Derek Boogaard. RIP!

Jagr Hat Tricks Team USA
There is this Czech guy named Jaromir Jagr, who is a apparently a pretty good scorer, has anyone heard of him?
Anyway, Jagr scored a hat trick, to lead the defending champion Czech Republic to a 4-0 win over Team USA in the quarterfinals of the hockey world championship at Bratislava, Slovakia. The Czechs will meet Sweden in the semifinals Friday.
Derek Stepan, Ryan McDonagh, and Chris Kreider are on Team USA. Petr Prucha is also on the Czech team with Jags.

Keep'em or Dump'em
The New York Daily News has a very interesting poll on who to keep and who to dump. 75-25 to keep coach disagreeable. 52-48 to keep Avery. Big margin to dump the Stealth. Check it out.

Rangers: Keep 'em or dump 'em? --
The Rangers postseason stay was a short one (again!) as they were bounced in the first round by the Capitals. And it's only fitting the series swung when the Rangers turned a 3-goal lead in Game 4 into a crushing double-OT loss. Now it's your turn to say which Rangers need to get bounced. Put on your GM's cap and tell us who stays and who goes.
78% of fans polled by the NY Daily News say dump Glen Sather, the stealth GM
