Hail to the Prince, but we pray to God this New York Post Page Six Magazine cover doesn't put the kursey kibosh on our royal keeper of the net.
Magazine covers are notorious for marking tops and bottoms. Henrik Lundqvist has been mostly a rock this year with just a few rocky games so far. He's kept the team in the playoff hunt despite being hung out to dry like a Swedish Bikini Team swimsuit by the Rangers soft defense.
Rangers fans must hope Henrik's girlfriend, Therese Andersson (above), keeps her Lun-kin humble and under wraps. We're not ready for 'Broadway Henrik' just yet.

Henrik Lundqvist: The World's Sexiest Ice Man --
Sean Avery hogged the Rangers' spotlight last year, but now it's goalie Henrik Lundqvist's turn. With his killer saves and the ability to bounce back from frustration, he's poised to capture one of the NHL's top honors. And with his dashing sartorial sense and sex appeal, he's already caught the eyes of the city's fashionistas...
I hate being right sometimes. This is one of those times. Just as I predicted long, long ago - the Rangers are now starting the year with a solid hold on 6th place. I also predicted before the year started that once again, absent at least one trade and a great power play we will make the playoffs and have an early exit.
Grrrrrrrrrr.
Fire the Coaching staff, please.
I don't think it will happen. I don't think Renney will be gone (assuming at least Pearn would go with him) unless it is coupled with the departure of Sather. Sather does have moss growing on him, so who knows.
No, we'll just limp along, one leg good.
Yes Henrik Lundqvist is sexy!
And he had a really solid game tonight too. That save on Crosby was great. But he also was not put to the test so much that he ran out of breath making great saves. He got some support, hopefully there will be more of it against the Canadiens.
The Penguins are not what they were last year, and I think that is why Crosby is throwing his fits. It's become apparent that the loss of their grit is a big problem, and it is hurting his game very much. And so he throws his hissy fits.
Too bad.
Thanks Hank for the shutout. You deserve it.
Lundqvist certainly is entitled to at least one shutout per year. Sweet that it came against the Pens and the Binger.
Again I have to wonder after seeing Ovechkin and the Binger in back-to-back games how anyone can not consider Ovechkin to be the best player in the league. Ovechkin is a force. Crosby is not.
