Tom Renney's goal in shakeup is more goals, wins for Rangers:
For a solid month, Tom Renney had three excellent reasons to avoid overhauling his forward lines even though the combinations left Jaromir Jagr largely to fend for himself:
- The Rangers were winning.
- The familiarity was contributing to the Rangers keeping the puck out of their own net.
- Jagr preferred remaining tethered to rookie Brandon Dubinsky rather than being centered by either Scott Gomez or Chris Drury.

Agree, that's why I put 'shakeup' in quotes. Rearranging the deck chairs and then running to the front of the boat might delay inevitable, but Renney like Leo DiCaprio will soon be thrown in the drink.
